Courses and Scheduling
Our advanced, online middle-school level courses for gifted students are available throughout the year in a range of subject areas, including math, science, and humanities. Courses have live sessions and utilize pre-recorded videos.
How to Apply for Explore

Tuition and Fees
The application fee is due at the time of application. Tuition for each full-year course is $1,200. Financial aid is available for Davidson Young Scholars.

Explore or Davidson Academy Online?
The Davidson Institute and Davidson Academy Online each offer dynamic and engaging online learning opportunities to qualified gifted students.
Explore offers gifted students ages 9-13 an opportunity to enrich their education by taking advanced online middle school courses adapted from the Davidson Academy’s rigorous curriculum. For those looking for à la carte courses, Davidson Explore may be the best option.
Davidson Academy Online offers gifted learners two options: full-time enrollment or single-course enrollment. For both options, it is recommended that applicants, at minimum, have 6th grade in progress. Davidson Academy Online leverages cutting-edge technology to create a new, highly personalized model of online education at our accredited, robust online community.
